O is for Overloaded, overbooked, overtired

Today is Alphabee-Thursday.
That means my blog is currently being brought to you by the letter O.
is for

The days are passing by much too quickly.
My "wedding" is in just 4 weeks.
The end of school is in just 4 weeks.
My lease on my house runs out in 5 weeks.
I'm guessing my fiance is gonna expect me to move in at some point...

so much to do, and I'm running out of time to do it.

When we talked about "just eloping", I figured it would save us a lot of time and hassle...but oh my gosh, there is still so much to do.

Plan our "get away trip" to Memphis for after the "ceremony".
*Make reservations for that.
*Buy wedding rings.
*Find me something to wear to get married in. So far..no luck.
*Talk to the judge, who is a friend, and set the appointment.
*Get a marriage license.

*Start packing up my house.
*Sort the yardsale stuff from the trash stuff from the moving stuff.
*Haul all the yardsale stuff over to his house for the neighborhood sale on the 15th.
*Live 2 weeks w/o any furniture!
*Take rest of stuff over to his house.
*Clean this one for the landlord.
*Arrange to have utilities all shut off.

*Teach HARD for the next 2 weeks to get the little strugglers up to where they need to be to insure they go on to 2nd grade.
*End of year DIBELS tests.
*End of year DRA tests.
*Keep twenty-three 6 yr olds fully engaged for next 4 weeks so they don't drive me completely insane.
*Pack up my classroom.
*Trash what I haven't used in 7 years and what I don't need.

*MINIMIZE many areas of my life.

and then there's my civic and church organizations.
*Junior Auxiliary Officer Inductions (I kept my office)
*Junior Auxiliary Provisional Tea for prospective new members (we're inviting 30+ ladies to join us. If they ALL join, that will triple our size!)
*Wrap up end of year PTO business (I'm the secretary)
*Church functions and choir that are going on.
*Molly's end of year GA happenings.

If I can just get everything done that needs to be done before May 27th...then on the 28th I can get married and go away for a couple of days and collapse!
Then come back for ONE MORE DAY OF SCHOOL on June 1 (how stupid is that) and finish the cleaning/packing there, then start unpacking at my new home and merging my stuff in with his.
Then I'll have a week or so before
*summer inservice meetings start,
*then summer school,
*then Family Reunion in Kentucky,
*then back to summer school,
*then a school conference in Las Vegas for a week,
*then home for more school inservice meetings...
*then a Justin Beiber concert for Molly's bday,
*Greg's bday,
*Alex's bday (his son),
*School District inservice,
*Open House,
*and the first day of school on Aug 19th.

Wow...summer just flew by and it hasn't even started yet!
somewhere in there I need a few days by a pool!

Yes..my schedule is always jammed packed. But I wouldn't know what to do with myself if it weren't.
Idle hands being what they are!!
Luckily I've never required much sleep. 4-5 hours a night and I'm good to go.
At least for now!

WhyOWhy are our worlds spinning out of control. Can totally relate to your pace, all except the wedding part!! That's unique. But sometimes it's 6 am to midnight, working all the time.

I remember doing this. I got married four days after my last day. Then went on the honeymoon went back to my house in another state and backed up for the sale of the house. It was wild. I was too busy to panic about anything.

I could not live with your list because for me 8or 9 hours sleep is neccessairy, but don't stress, get a deep breath from time to time and .....continue.....
Good luck with everything! Wow, I am a slacker compared to you or rather a sloth or a slug! Joni

It always seems so Overwhelming when you write it all down. If I were you I'd skip the garage sale, pack it all up and take to the goodwill - your time and sanity is worth the couple $$ you'll get. But that is just me. I need a nap after reading your post and I live a busy life!

Oh my goodness. Your to do list is crazy.

Try Dillards for your dress. It seems like everyone I know looked and looked and ended up finding something there.

How about a pass to skip commenting until after the wedding.

I'm sure everyone will chip in on that for a wedding gift!

Delegate, delegate, delegate...

And say no as often as you can!

Eating mac and cheese from the blue box isn't a crime either!

Hang in there!

Outstanding post from poor overloaded, overbooked and overtired you!

A+

Girl your list is full! Being Organized is key though...You have everything listed out and can just go checking things off. I think you're doing a great job with everything on your plate and you know it will pay off when you have time to rest:)

I always thought eloping would have been a great idea and while I had a beautiful wedding, the kind dreams are made of - my marriage was not so...so now eloping would have definitely been a better choice!!! BEST OF LUCK To you in all you have going on, you put me to shame.

Keep breathing - you can do it, even though the list is daunting. One thing at a time........and get as much sleep as you can manage.

Wow. You need to add "take some time to breath" in there. But your strike me as someone who works hard and does things well. I hope each day is a triumph. Btw Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. May your times together be sweet (in getaways and in doing life together). Sorry your days are so full and to see your summer whizz by like that. I hope a time to relax and just be does come.
