Sunday

Upon returning from my parents' home last night, 75 miles away, I realized not only had I left all my makeup there, but also the shampoo/conditioner/hairspray/hairbrush, the curling iron and straightener, & the toothpaste and toothbrushes. So..guess who wound up going to Walmart in the wee hours of the morning and spending $80 on just the necessities to get by for 2 weeks? I couldn't show up for the Eater Cantata Sunday morning with no makeup on and yucky hair, now could I?

Upon checking the mail after being gone, I was so delighted to find this wonderful gift I received from SuperMomKelli that I'd won on her Free4all Friday!!
Being one of those people who never win anything, I was so excited to finally HAVE won something! Isn't it too cute?

My good luck was holding strong! After winning the cute little frame and cricut pics, I found out I'd won Cathy's Book Giveaway, too!! 2 wins in one week!!! Never before in my life have I had such luck!! Thank you both so much!!

Pollenpalooza 2010 is upon us. Everything is yellow-green. There's a fog of pollen in the air that you can SEE. It's been so hard to breathe...and I'm not even one that has allergy problems with it. Those that do have been having a horrible time here.

Yes, spring is upon us.
Little inchworms are out and about!
(Am I dating myself if I start singing, "Inchworm...Inchworm..measuring the marigolds" ? I loved Danny Kaye's version in "Hans Christian Anderson". I so loved him, growing up...and I know Sesame Street has a version, too. I just love him more!)

Got to play "tv star" again today. Did a spot on our local talk show for the Junior Auxiliary. Being the PR chairman, I get stuck doing them to promote our activities b/c most people are afraid of being on tv. My fiance (ooh...how weird it sounds to say that) owns the tv station, so it's not big deal for me to do them. In fact, he says that once we are married, he may have me fill in for the host some and do some of the interviews. I'm not too excited about that..but I guess I could.
Here is a clip from our show. The other 3 segments are on youtube, too. Please ignore how humongously fat I am. I never realize how bad it is until I see myself in videos or pictures.

(and no..that's not my finace doing the interview. That's Jerry, who is some sort of icon in these parts. He's done radio and tv for over 40 years now. To be honest, I'm not all that impressed with him, but I hear he was great "back in the day".)

Saturday

Spent ALL.DAY.LONG working with my Junior Auxiliary ladies at our planning meeting. We had to discuss the projects we'd done this year, decide which to continue, what new projects we want to undertake and go over the list of names for who to invite to join our organization. We got a lot accomplished, but I was ready for a nap when I got home. Didn't get one..but I sure needed one.
(and i did not get a picture of us today, so I'm using one from our Safety Town project last month.)

So yes..another busy week.
All that and SAT 10 testing at school Monday and Tuesday, too.
That made it a LONG week, but at least it's over so now maybe we can do a little more "fun learning" for the next 7 weeks and not have to "teach to the test" so much!
I hope your week was an enjoyable one...and that the upcoming week is great, too.
Thanks for letting me share mine with you!

I am participating in the 2010 Mommytography 365 Project!
For this year long project I will be posting an image a day.
I am hoping this will...

• help me find new things around me to focus my attention on
• share my world with my friends and family more

Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer.

Congrats on winning!!! That's so exciting! :)

After having to drop that much money on toiletries, you might be interested in the Walgreens Challenge I started. It shows you how to get those things for free or dirt cheap!
