2010: The Year in Review

Image
I guess it's that time again...time to review everything that happened in the past 12 months. I was trying to think back over the year, remember what all has happned, and then realized I needed to LOOK back through entries....which not nearly as time consuming as you'd think, since I really didn't write as much this past year as I have in previous ones. I can't recall too much of what did actually happen, it all went by so fast!! Which scares me... because they say the older you get, the faster time flies...and I do NOT want to be that old! But I digress... I was trying to recall what happened this year in my life, and really, the only BIG thing that happened was that Greg and I got married and Molly and I moved into his house. Well..that and a trip to Las Vegas, and a family reunion. But nothing terribly bad I don't think. Which is a GOOD thing. But let me go ahead and try to do a month-by-month play-by-play...just to be sure. ~Let's see..we started the year of...

A Walk Down Memory Lane....Wild Animals

Image
When we travel, my kids always love to stop at Bass Pro to see all the "stuffed" animals and fish. When we travel to KY to see my grandmother, there's one in Memphis that we seem to always be near around lunch time...so it's usually a planned stop. One very fun time there was in July of 2005, on the way home from a family reunion. I don't know which animals were wilder...the taxidermied ones..or my kids! They were so little then!! Silly Boys! And not to be outdone...Miss MollyAnn had to get in on the action Yes...fun times traveling. Life is always an adventure with us. Come for a walk with me down Memory Lane ! And if you have a "Memory Lane" post, head on over to Scottsville to join in on the fun!

A Walk Down Memory Lane

Am borrowing one of Erica's entry types because this has been on my mind lately. A friend from another site spent a few days in San Francisco last week, and shared all her wonderful adventures with us. These posts really took me down Memory Lane, for I once lived out in that area. Oh, it was only for a year, and not right IN the city, but about 40 miles north...close enough to go and enjoy it, but still in a small town atmosphere. I fell in love while there...fell in love with THE CITY. When I hear Journey singing "When the lights go out in the city, and the sun shines on the bay, I wanna be there in my city....oh, oh, woh-oh-oh", I get a big lump in my throat. I love San Francisco. The Golden Gate became MY bridge. The Pier became MY place. The whole area is amazing, and I didn't even begin to see as much as I wanted to the year we were there. I've not been able to get back since, and that was 17 years ago, but I am hoping to take my kids there in another year ...

a Decade in the Life..2000-2010

Just read Petey's entry where he summed up the past 10 years...and really liked the idea, so I am stealing copying his idea. A LOT has happened in my life during this decade...so I am gonna think back over it for a moment. (and since most of you did not know me during these years, it'll give you a chance to peek into how I've become this wonderfully fabulous megaterrific woman you read before you!! BWHAHAHAHA..whatever!! but it will give you a chance to learn a little more about me.) My world expanded in the year 2000. I had just celebrated my 10th anniversary, and had 3 small children. Trey was 7, Matthew was 18 months old, and Molly was 4 months old. That tax season bought us our very first computer, which I still have and was using up until this past year! I quickly found a chatroom where I made many friends (most of whom I am still very close to), and I opened up my first online diary that summer. FreeOpenDiary! I learned to use email and chat and my world grew bigger....
