Project 365...catching up cuz I'm behind a week

A Picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun!

Project 365 button designed by http://richgift.blogspot.com

So here I am..6 days late with this entry, but in my defense, my computer just got put together last night. I'd been using hubby's and none of my pics were on there/I didn't want to upload my pics to his computer. So...I will catch up last week's events and then post this week's tomorrow on regular 365 day.

Sunday-May 30

Still on our honeymoon. Today's adventure was the Memphis Zoo. I love that place and Greg did really well there. We got to see all my fave animals...giraffes, hippos, elephants...

and of course the very thing you go to the Memphis Zoo to see....PANDAS!!!
(but they weren't very cooperative as far as getting pics went....

Monday-May 31

our check out day.
I tell ya...for a Clarion Resort, this hotel was actually very pitiful.
**Our a/c had to be replaced the first night (at 11pm)
**we had no trash can nor iron when we got there
**the phone had no cord connecting it to the wall
**the room didn't get cleaned one day--no fresh towels w/o asking
**the ice machines didn't work so we had to ask for that each time (til a staff member showed me where the ice machine was and let me start getting it myself)
**the remote for the tv died and had to be replaced...
just one thing after another.
BUT...the saving grace was the staff.

And I'm guessing the older man and girl must've lived there on site b/c they were there ALL THE TIME!
But I loved them...and they were so accomodating and they wanted to upgrade us to the Honeymoon Suite for free (til we found out it was "definitely no smoking in the honeymoon suite), so they refunded us a night's fee instead when we checked out. The older man was the biggest flirt...("I don't fix your phone because I want you to come down here and see me!") Had it not been for these 3 people, I would have come home and written a scathing review of the accomodations.
I guess Customer Service really is worth something afterall!

Tuesday-June 1

Last Day of School for this year...and I actually got my room all packed up in one day. Gonna miss those little faces! We went outside and blew bubbles for a bit of fun.

Wednesday-June 2

Packing up the rest of the house day! UGH. That was a chore, and I didn't get finished! I DID, however, manage to get rid of a bunch of stuff.

Thursday-June 3

Dr. Appt for Greg day....upper and lower scopes.
Then a trip to IHOP to eat. YUM! New York Cheesecake Waffles

and much cheaper gas prices in Little Rock than where we live.

Friday-June 4

Today I was determined to get the old house cleaned out and cleaned up.
And I did, and then it was time to say goodbye to a home that had served me well for 3 years.

Saturday-June 5

This day was officially declared my "ME" day.
I finally went to see the Sex & the City 2 movie and scoped out some things while shopping that I might want to get in the future for my new home. (if there's room once I get everything unpacked.)

We ended the day by grilling steaks and twice baking potatoes...a perfect end to a perfect day.

And that was the first full week of being married! Stay tuned to see all the adventures we had this week once the kids returned home! Life has changed as we know it here in this household, but overall we are adjusting quite nicely.

I am participating in the 2010 Mommytography 365 Project!
For this year long project I will be posting an image a day.
I am hoping this will...

• help me find new things around me to focus my attention on
• share my world with my friends and family more

Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer.

Looks like the zoo was alot of fun. Love the picture of the hippo! Glad that the staff was so accommodating, it sounds like they turned what could have been a bad situation around with their attitudes. Love the shots of your students having fun on the last day of school. You have had a crazy busy schedule, hope that you can relax some now. Kathy

What a great looking class you had. I will definitely miss my kids this year too.
The Memphis zoo looks 1000% times better than our POS zoo.
