Put Down the Gun and Noone Will Get Hurt

This gun I mean...

That's right.
I did it again.

I got burned by the hot glue gun. Well, not the gun itself, actually, but the glue.
I was gluing some nametags onto my students' desks, and one of them flipped backward and stuck to my arm.
Of course the first you do it in that situation, is instinctively try to get it off of you. But when you do that with hot glue, it tends to pull the skin right off with it. Or maybe it melts the skin. I'm not sure.

All I DO know is IT HURTS!
and it leaves a scar.
you should see my hands and wrist areas. So many scars from that dang ole glue gun. (and it's even a low-temp one)
But alas....what's a teacher to do? We can't function without our hot glue. They look all sweet and innocent..pink and petite, but don't let them fool you. They got a bite to them!

So..if you ever wonder if it's me you are passing on the street..just check out my hands and wrist areas...they are marked by little round scars.

*That's gonna leave a mark!

Oh man, I didn't know you could get burned like that with a glue gun. Hope the pain has left by now!
