I've been accepted!



or rather...My Taxes have been accepted by the IRS!

I finished filing them online last night...and trepidatiously clicked that final send button to shoot them off into the cyberworld. I always get nervous...did I do them right? Did I claim everything I should? What if I got something wrong?

I'm not a very self-assured person when it comes to "legal stuff".

But....I've been doing my taxes for the past 20+ years...even when I was married. I've done them alone for myself the past 8 years.
I've never had a problem so far..*knock knock knock* (that's me knocking on wood)

So..hopefully, thanks to e-file and direct deposit, I will have my refund in 8-15 days!

Won't that be exciting!!

I have a feeling they will let you know if you did something wrong! Ha! That would make me nervous too.

Hooray! I always do our taxes, and I've been e-filing for several years now. I love it. I only ever had one problem, but it had to do with selling stocks. They just sent a letter requesting a document. I sent it in, and all was well. No worries!

Today is Alphabe-Thursday. That means my blog is brought to you by the letter C...so let's get right down to it. is for ahhh...the simplicity of crayons! An essential tool in my profession, and yet such a vital part of our lives. Crayons have the ability to color our world. They add life to simple drawings, brighten up the darkest of pictures, and create rainbows on rainy days. After completing a writing assignment my students will often ask...."Do we have to draw a picture?" "Of course you do!! And use your crayons!" I will reply. And then the real feelings of their topic show through. Without color, how dull our lives would be. No yellow sunshiny days. No pink cotton candy. No blue skies and green grass.
