Alphabee Thursday

Here's how it will work:
This will be a 26 week little class and will happen each and every Thursday. 24 weeks will be actual contest - two weeks (A & B) will be our learning curve
This week we are doing the letter A & B (cuz I have to catch up!)!
For your post use the Letter A as your inspiration to: post a picture, share a recipe (apple pie), tell a story about your Aunt or the time you went apple picking! Just tie your post in some way to the letter A, maybe the first thing that pops into your head.
That's it. There's no right or wrong posts. Just tie it in however you want to! So....here goes.
is for
That's the station I was trying to watch "UGLY BETTY" on tonight when the president so rudely interrupted regularly scheduled programming!
I mean...AGAIN? Isn't he always on tv?
Why does he have to be on regular channels? Isn't that what the political channels are for? CSPAN, MSNBC, FoxNews, CNN, etc....
geez...
Why can't they just bulletpoint his speech, post it online and send it to newspapers, and then air the actual speech on one of those stations if he thinks he really needs to get infront of the cameras again.
The media gets a copy of it in the afternoon before he gives it on air. Greg got a copy of it today even.
Why can't they just let us decide if we want to see it or not w/o ruining our whole night?
And to make things worse..afterwards, there's that whole post-game wrap up stuff where the Republicans have to give their re-cap/opinion of what he said, as do the Democrats.
a whole night of tv viewing wasted.
That's just my soapbox. Cuz I'm a visual person. I need to SEE what he's saying, not sit and listen to it. I need to read it. And now I've been told it's posted online actually.....(like I suggested??)
yeh...take away my Criminal Minds and Ugly Betty and things are not pretty here!
I had to spend my evening making 2 kinds of cookies and a pan of brownies instead. (not for me...for the County Spelling Bee, and my after-school Book Study, respectively.)
and that's all I'm gonna say about that!
is for
the Bee Gees
the song "Stayin Alive" was on the radio as Molly and I left for school this morning. She immediately started doing "the dance" to it (in the car of course) to which I, naturally, joined in....you know, the whole finger pointing John Travolta move. We were having a big time until my precious 10 yr old daughter reaches over and SLAMS my hand down, stopping me from Jive-talking!
I said..."what did you do that for?" because I was most naturally stunned. She replied..."CAR!!"
discomamasayWHAT?
"CAR!!!" she again stated..more emphatically this time.
"Don't do that when another car is coming, Mom...What if they see you? It's emabarrassing!!"
Oh goodie...it's begun. The years of being able to embarrass your children! I've been waiting for this milestone in their lives...and now it's here.
Guess who will be having lots of fun moments for the next oh....7-9 years?
heeheehee

And we should get a choice on whether to watch him or not!
I loved your story about the car and your daughter! I'm still laughing as I type.
Jessica was born embarrassed by me. It just eggs me on, too! :)
I was taking a CPR class yesterday and the instructor was singing that "Staying Alive" song as she was doing her count. Funny how I've heard that song mentioned twice in just 2 days! :0}
Judy
I embarrassed three teens ( sons ) but they lived through it and I am still continuing to embarrass them as adults. It's such a joy.
