You're Gonna Miss This--Loud Days

I've copied Erica's Memory Lane entry types a couple of times (with more to come), so now I shall copy Mimi's You're Gonna Miss This entry type.
What???...she asked us what we would miss..so really, it's ok to copy, right?

I thought so!

So...as I sit here, "complaining" about my kids on Twitter and Facebook (as one person put it) by posting little quips such as "robinmock is wondering if there is a return policy on children when they become tweens" while listening to the monotonous droning of the Rock Band drums beating beating banging to a song that I can't hear (could she not at least turn up the volume so I could sing along?)...it hit me---I will miss this someday.

Yeh....I think I will.
I know..I know...crazy talk you say! Who would miss all that incessant banging? And the invariable arguing that is soon to follow when one or the other of her brothers decide THEY want a turn to pick the song or bang the gong or whatever it is they do with that game.
But yanno..I'm sure I'll miss it....at some point....when they are all grown up and off at college (they WILL be going off to college one day, won't they? please tell me they will!)

Yeh....I'll miss this.

So for now...I think I'll go join them!
*leaves room singing....."And he's watchin' us all in the eyyyyyye of the tiger"*

Yes, I'm sure someday we'll all miss it....but like your comic said, Not Today!!! Great post.
Yes. One of these days I will miss it all. Sometimes I have to remind myself of that because honestly, sometimes I think I won't miss it (bad mom I know).

I just came over from Scottsville. Erica sent me.

I can relate to the drumming, Eye of the Tiger and such. I actually enjoyed it and I would join in on occasion. Our XBOX 360 broke so I do miss it and the kids doing their music thing.

I'm following you and I'll be back.
Have a great weekend,
Nannette

Can I just be honest? There are some things you really WON'T miss - like practicing musical instruments - especially violins and recorders. But other then that, yea, it's hard when it's gone. Good post.

As frustrating as it is sometimes...when they are grown and never to return to their baby/toddler/kid/preteen/teen ages again I am going to miss it all. Even the whining. I will just want my babies back:(
