2009...the year in review

Myspace Happy New Year Comments & Graphics
Well, now that I've shared the past 10 years of my life (or rather, 9 of the 10) it's time again to look back over this past year and review what we've achieved, what we've gained, what we've lost, and what we've learned. I've been trying to decide how I wanted to do this entry this year and I think I'll do the same style I did last year...one pic and 2 or 3 sentences for each month. At least...I hope I can keep it that concise! But you know me and my gift of gab. (and my picture fetish..I can't guarantee just one per month! lol)
So...let's take a look back and see what all has transpired this year.

~Greg and I rang in the New Year much the same way we did the previous year....friskly, heehee..
~Facebook was new to me and quickly becoming an obsession! I started reconnecting with people I hadn't seen in 20+ years! It was great!
~Things were mostly about school and kids, altho I did spend a lot of time with my Crown Club girls...donating food to our local shelter and making Valentine cards we would take to the nursing homes in February.

Month Graphic Comments
~we started out the month with Trey having twisted his knee.
~We made a trip to Nebraska for my aunt's funeral.
~Molly and I made a trip to Oklahoma City to meet Patrea and her family for a weekend with Susan! OMG!! Just the girlie weekend I think we had all been needing!!

Month Graphic Comments
~March started out broken...my truck broke, and Trey suffered his first heartbreak.
~Molly's long term crush became her boyfriend, but it only lasted a week or so before they became "friends" again. (she still crushes on him to this day tho!)
~My sister from Phoenix came to visit and we had all our family together!
and all that was in the first week of the month.
We also had things like....
~my mother joined Facebook, and can now say things she shouldn't online for the world to see
~I celebrated my 42nd birthday, first by spending a weekend with Trey alone, then by spending the actual day with Molly and she got glasses.
~we started looking for a puppy for me

~Easter Brunch at Mom's. Greg got to go with me.
~had to pull together a community coffee that I didn't know I was in charge of til the last minute.
~Greg had to have major heart tests done, including being shocked by the paddles, which stopped his heart, and having to be resucistated. All that proved that getting a pacemaker (which had been reccomended for years) would only kill him, stopping his heart when it shocked rather than regulating it. It also cracked his back molar in half and he had to have it pulled.
~I sang for my mom at her church as a bday gift, and we celebrated her's and Jeanette's bdays afterwards.

~It was JuPoThiMo month: a month of posting positive thoughts about yourself. Tougher than I thought it would be.
~a new friendship began with a woman I'd known from church, but had never been particularly close to. Now we great friends and do girl things together regularly.
~Molly went off to Shreveport for 5 days of church camp. She accepted Jesus into her heart while she was there.
~Trey went off to Eastern TN for a week of church camp, and wound up in the ER for the first of what would be 5 shoulder dislocations. Yes...a mother's worst nightmare, that midnight call saying your son, who is in a different state hundreds of miles of way, has been taken to the hospital. Luckily he was in good hands.
~Matt got to spend that week home with me while the other 2 were gone.
~I traded my '02 Trailblazer in for an '08 Durango.

a busy month that I cannot believe is over...
I did not begin the Christmas season is a holiday mood. I'm usually all about the Christmas season, but this year it took me most of the month to find that spirit.
~our tree was broken and pitiful, and I didn't even put out all the decor I usually do.
~Maggie went into heat right before I was going to get her spade.
~Molly had her first school dance and we had to find just the right dress.
~Trey killed his first deer
~Trey had his shoulder surgery the first day of Christmas break.
~Maggie got SHAVED by the groomer.
