Project 365...the merry month of May
A Picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun!

Another week just whizzed by...they are getting faster and faster on me!

Sunday-May 2
Cleaning out the house...hauling things over to Greg's house...this is the trash pile for the day. (and when I woke up the next morning, the broken tv and the broken vacuum had been taken during the night!! lol)

Monday-May 3
Went to the vet today to set a grooming appt for Maggie, and the techs were playing with these:
Someone had dropped them off and left them.

Tuesday-May 4
Trey's Awards Night at school.
He received his Year II Knight's Scholar Award.
It's an award they earn each year for keeping a 3.5 gpa or higher. The students in the program sign a contract to keep their grades up, and then are rewarded at the end of the year if they do. It takes the place of Honor Society and is open to grades 9-12, not just 11-12. As a sophomore, this was his 2nd year to get it. When the 4th Year honorees were presented, there were only 5 who had earned it all 4 years (out of about 100 students in the senior class). 3 of them were former 1st grade students of mine. The other 2 had not attended our school in first grade.
I felt proud!

Wednesday-May 5
It was Teacher Appreciation Week.
We made cookies for Molly's teachers.
365/125
Thursday-May 6
It was such a beautiful day (sunny, temps in the 80s) I decided to take my class outside to get a picture.
365/126
Friday-May 7
Some of my literacy students that come to me from another teacher in the afternoon made me these cards. So precious!

Saturday-May 7
This day was divided into halves.
The morning/early afternoon was spent with my kids, in the city.
We shopped for Mother's Day gifts for my mom and Greg's mom, and was still on the hunt for a dress for me to get married in. I found a couple finally..but they were still not quite right, or too too pricey. The one dress I found and loved and affordable was not in the right size.
One size too small...just enough to be too tight around the belly/butt/hips.
I was so sad. I came home w/o a dress again.
BUT...
when I went to pick up some Red Door perfume for Greg's mom...I was rewarded with a free pink totebag!
It's not something his mom would want, so I'm keeping it!! I love it!
AND...the new Elizabeth Arden fragrance they are promoting...Pretty...oh my gosh! I love it! They have this splash version of it for $45.
Too pricey for me normally...but I'm thinking maybe after i get married and settled in, and have a little extra money, I may splurge on it for myself. I don't usually do much in the way of perfume. I'm more of a scented lotion kinda girl, but this splash is perfect for me...I fell in love with it! I'll find a way to get it!
The later afternoon/early evening, after we were home and Greg was finished working, was spent moving most of my big furniture over to Greg's to store for either the big neighborhood yard sale next Saturday, or to move into the house when we are ready.
(Greg's son and my older son moving the love seat into the "shop"...the hard part is that the garage door on the shop is broken..it's stuck at that level, doesn't go up or down. But it hasnt stopped us from progressively filling up the shop with my stuff!)
Three trips with 3 pickup trucks and then we called it a day.
We grilled burgers and made brownies to have with ice cream for dessert.
The boys worked hard..they deserved it!
Things are coming along. My house is looking more and more empty. The living room is devoid of furniture except for the entertainment center with the tv and dvr on it. Nothing else. One bedroom is empty, and after today, Molly won't have a bed either. Long story short....her bed is going home with the boys for Matthew so he can have it after returning the bunk bed mattress he's been using to me so I can sell the bunkbeds next week. Noone will sleep on them. When we move, Molly will take my queensize bed and I'll just have to find twin beds for the boys' room b/c they refuse to sleep together on one bed. (was gonna give them the queen..but oh no! they won't have it!)
So anyway...things trudge on.
This coming week is tres busy...I'm sure there will be lots of pics!
I hope you have a great one, and are enjoying your Mother's Day with someone you love!
I am participating in the 2010 Mommytography 365 Project!
For this year long project I will be posting an image a day.
I am hoping this will...
• help me find new things around me to focus my attention on
• share my world with my friends and family more
Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer.

And I whole-heartedly agree with your Mother's Day post. I tried to get my family to fix me breakfast in bed on Saturday, but no dice. Maybe next year...
So cute on the Coons!
School is almost out!!!
BTW, I came via VKT's blog…congrats on the award.
