Tag and a Story

I found this game over at Carmen's Chronicles. She didn't tag me, but not being one to wait to be invited, I just joined in the game anyway.
Here are the rules.

• Open your first photo folder and select the 10th photo


• Publish it and tell the story of the photo


• Link back to the person who tagged you


• Tag 5 friends and inform them.



This picture was taken at my grandparents' house in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, on Easter I guess, judging by those clothes...must've been about 1977. (I'm thinking that b/c I'm looking to be about 10.)

Yep..that's me there, on the left, my sister in the middle, and my brother on the end. This is all before my other sister came to live with us. (long story...she's not a "biological sister" but a "chosen" sister.)

That's our dog, Rags, up there on the back of the couch. He was a terrier-poodle mix. My mom always thought he looked like a gray and black Benji.
He was a great dog! A stray I think...or maybe my parents got him at the pound. I'm not sure. I can't remember back that far!! lol

Ahhh..what a great pic.
And kind've appropriate...being Easter week and all. We would've been up in KY for Spring Break.

Oh, I'm so glad you went ahead and did this! What fun to see your picture at that age. Doesn't it bring back memories? I feel like going through photos now.

What a fun picture! I love the blanket on the back of the couch and your brother's hair it too funny! Thanks for the tag...I'm like Mimi though, I only have pics from the last 6 years or so!

Dictionary.com defines it as Something expected. hmmm....kinda vague, so I looked up "EXPECT": 1.to look forward to; regard as likely to happen; anticipate the occurrence or the coming of 2. to look for with reason or justification: There are certain things I just expect in life: * I expect the light to come on when I flip the switch. * I expect the microwave to pop my popcorn perfectly in about 3 minutes. * I expect whatever I'm plugging into the electrical socket to work when I turn it on. * I expect to be given correct change when paying for a purchase. Today is Alphabe-Thursday. That means my blog is brought to you by the letter C...so let's get right down to it. is for ahhh...the simplicity of crayons! An essential tool in my profession, and yet such a vital part of our lives. Crayons have the ability to color our world. They add life to simple drawings, brighten up the darkest of pictures, and create rainbows on rainy days. After completing a writing assignment my students will often ask...."Do we have to draw a picture?" "Of course you do!! And use your crayons!" I will reply. And then the real feelings of their topic show through. Without color, how dull our lives would be. No yellow sunshiny days. No pink cotton candy. No blue skies and green grass.
