Project 365: Spring Break Week

A Picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun!

What a busy/lazy/homey/exciting week it has been. I had only one of my children home with me all week during spring break, my 16 yr old son, Trey. He's definitely the EASIEST of my children to live with, and it's been nice having time with him alone. (for those that don't know, he has lived with his dad for the past 7 years, not wanting to move or change schools when I came to the town I am in now. It was the best decision for him, but not always the best for this momma who misses him so.)

Sunday

Today was "FAMILY BIRTHDAY PARTY for ME" day!
You may have seen my entry on this. My family celebrates everything. It was an exciting day at my parents with my brother's family and sister's family there, too.

Turning 43's not so bad when you get such great presents from your 4 yr old neice!

Monday

Today was a "lazy/stay home and watch movies and play Rock Band with your kid kind of day."
Maggie was not so sure about the RB guitar tho!

Tuesday

Today was My actual birthday.

No time to party today tho.
Lots of errands to run and took Maggie to get spayed.
A birthday donut had to suffice!
(pay no attention to the lit match in that donut. I couldn't find a candle anywhere!)

Wednesday

Today was "spend the day with my child" day.
Trey and I spent the day at the Louisiana Boardwalk in Shreveport/Bossier City.
(It's only about 90 miles from where I live in Arkansas)
I think there's already an entry about this day, too.

Chocolate covered gummy bears and riding the carousel were 2 of my favorite things!

Thursday

Today was "Clean out the storage building day".

After 2 hours of working, I barely made a dent in the "reorganization process", but I did haul off two big loads of trash and empty boxes.

Friday

Today was "It's Official" Day.
After 5 years of dating, and 6 months of talking about it and even planning a date, Greg finally made our engagement official with the proposal and ring.
(I KNOW there's an entry about this already! LOL)

Saturday

Today was "plant the tulips and hyacinths my sister gave me for my birthday" day.

Trey weeded the flowerbed over at Greg's house so I could plant my flowers.
I hope they live....I'm known in these parts as being a plant murderer!

So, as you can see, it's been a busy, fun-filled, exciting week! I got to spend quality time working and playing with my teenage son, celebrated my birthday, and got engaged! What more could a girl ask for?

I am participating in the 2010 Mommytography 365 Project!
For this year long project I will be posting an image a day.
I am hoping this will...

• help me find new things around me to focus my attention on
• share my world with my friends and family more

Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer.

I hopped over here from Tales of the TCKK Family. Love the title of your blog! Great minds think alike! We both live in small towns in the SE US, and, we're both in education! I'll be back to visit! Congratulations on your engagement!

I murder plants too. it is so sad...that is why I am so scared to start a garden. LOL
How fun to spend all that time with the kids. I cannot wait until next week when we have our spring break.
