Project 365: Dr. Seuss, Smokey Bear and more
A Picture a day for 365 days...a years worth of fun!

Here we are at the beginning of another week.
Time for reflection.
Time to look back and see what all was accomplished (or not).
Time to keep praying my voice comes back before I have to sing a solo in church this morning!!
The week went by very quickly for me. Let me look back through my picture file (where I save all my memories) and see just what it was I did!

Sunday
Oh yes...more PR for Safety Town.
I took the pic of Molly and Maggie to send to the paper promoting our Crown Club's drive for old towels and blankets to donate to the Animal Shelter.
365/59
Monday
I went outside to untangle Maggie's chain, and saw all these little pink flowers that had fallen off the tree. They look so pretty lying amongst the leaves.
365/60
Tuesday
Dr. Seuss' Birthday!
365/61
Wednesday
I posted this on my Wordless Wednesday entry.
It's what I want for my birthday (which is in 10 days)
I use to love this show...and realized the other day that it's basically just a younger version of Boston Legal, which I also love!
365/62
Thursday
Could you get any more relaxed than that?
365/63
Friday
In celebration of "Read Across America Week", my Junior Auxiliary Chapter gives a book to every first grader in our county. (that's 4 schools)
This year's book was "By the Cool of the Pool".
365/64
Saturday
Each year, the Junior Auxiliary also hosts "Safety Town". It's a day when different agencies in our community set up to present safety tips to the children. All free, lots of giveaways, lots of fun.
Some of the presenters we had this year were Smokey Bear (did you know they took the "the" out of his name? How weird is that?), McGruff, Fire and Ambulance, the "smoke house" where children learned how to crawl through a smoke filled house to get out to safety, City Police, the State Police did Seatbelt Safety, the Tractor place brought ATVs and did safety on that, Red Cross, Arkansas Children's Hospital, the Water Wizard, the Corp of Engineers did a hypothermia experiment, the School did a Child Nutrition booth, the High School's drama team presented skits, and we (the JA) did our Child ID discs where we measure, weigh, and take a picture of the child and put it on a cd for them to keep.
Good fun, lots of work, but well worth it.
Then, I got the oil changed in my car, and went home and collapsed!
All in a day's work I suppose!
Well there it was...a peek into my week.
I hope you had a great one as well!
I am participating in the 2010 Mommytography 365 Project!
For this year long project I will be posting an image a day.
I am hoping this will...
• help me find new things around me to focus my attention on
• share my world with my friends and family more
Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer.
