Thanksgiving our way (PIC HEAVY)

As some of you may remember, my family celebrates Thanksgiving with a brunch each year. We all gathered at my mom's house, each bringing a tasty dish to share...oh, and our kids!
It was also Baby Max's 6 month birthday! He's getting so big!
Poppa held him while we got things ready.
Molly and Mary helped set the kid-table down in the gameroom, altho I think Mary had OTHER ideas for it...
*little drummer girl?
*caughtcha!!
We finished up the cooking...
*Mom makes the slumgullion (frenchfries, bacon, and scrambled eggs all mixed together with onions and peppers)
and even I helped!
Soon all the food was ready:
Jeanette's wonderful Creme Brulee French Toast (and that whip cream goes on top of it)
My "Cracker Barrel" Hashbrown casserole
and the biscuits with both kinds of gravy (regular, and chocolate.
There was also Mom's sourdough sweetrolls and a fruit plate.
The kids ate downstairs in the gameroom (that's Trey's girlfriend, Asia, between him and Matt)
and we ate upstairs.
(ok..it's not really upstairs/downstairs....the game room is a converted garage, with two steps going down into it, but we call it "downstairs".)
As usual..it was all very yummy and we had our fill while watching The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Mom gave out her traditional ornaments to all the grandchildren.
Max got Pooh

Mary got Tinkerbelle and friends

Molly got High School Musical

Matthew got Hagred (sp?)

Dalton got a Scooby one..I think it's this one.

Trey got one that I can't find a pic of...It was a hunting ornament with a black lab on it.
and Maggie got this one..
(but I'm not suppose to tell!)
Then it was time to go take pictures. I wanted to try and get some pics so I could find one to use in Christmas cards! The kids wanted to go out to the river where the tressle is (train tracks going over the river).
They decided we needed to go up ON the tressle...yeh, that thing right there.
So..we went.
(and yes...Trey is wearing his sling, still recovering from the dislocated shoulder, but I let him take it off when snapping pics.)
*Look Mom...no hands!
*We made it out to the middle.
Then we made our way back down the hill to the riverbank to get some pics. (I think these are my faves of all we took.)
Next we ventured over to some big rocks...
Molly hammed it up a bit:
But we got some good ones here, too.
Then the kids just started running all over the place saying, "Over here...come over here and take our picture!" so I did.
and Molly snapped one of me:
Asia was a lot of fun, and fits right in with my crew!
After all that, the kids wanted to go out to the park. So we did.
This is where Asia tried to teach Molly how to spit soda through her front teeth:
But Molly couldn't quite get the hang of it.
So, they played on the playground instead.
I was even able to get a mother/son pic with Trey
(and of course, guess who else needed a pic with mom)
It was a very fun day. The weather was gorgeous, we got lots of pics, and everyone got along. Truly a day full of things to be thankful for.

As far as the pictures being cut off the right, you have to go into your blogger template and change the margins. It is not the easiest thing to do because you have to read HTML. You might want to try picking a new background with a 3 column template...that might help!!! ;)
You might try changing the pictures to a smaller size - medium or large maybe - go to
"edit" on your post, click on a picture and the size choices should come up at the bottom of the picture.
PIck a three column template and even then you may have to adjust your margins in the html code...not fun.
Send me an email with your user name and password and let me go in and fix it. You may want to choose a wider background first though.
I know, I know... you're so thankful to be FRIENDS with the HTML Queen. It's what I do.
And hey, if you don't trust me with your real username and password, create a temporary one so you can change it back to the real one when I'm done. PS - I have references. Ask any of the other moms on Blogger...I've helped tons of 'em. =0)
Great pics... or what I could see of them!
Let me know if ya need me!
And the water pics were my favorites, too--but they were all great!
