Mama said there'd be days like this

Some days I feel like that old Hee Haw song..."if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all."

*putting up the Christmas tree did not go as peachily as I'd hoped.
When we brought it in from storage, I noticed that the feet on the stand part were broken. We tried to make it work, but it didn't. So..we stuck the dang thing into a popcorn tin and shoved blankets in all around it to make it stand up.
No luck.
The tree leans against the wall. AND.....the Star would not stay fastened on the top, so it is now being held on with some of the extra greenery you wrap around the tree trunk pole.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate fake trees?

The kids don't care tho, they went about their business decorating it while I hid in the car and cried.

*In putting out the other decorations, I've realized I can't find my collection of Christmas cds and tapes. (yes, some are still on cassette.)
I have about 87 or so cds and cassettes.
I take my Christmas music seriously.
I WILL go balistic if I can't find it.

*About 4:45pm I rememebered I'd promised to cook for us all tonight (the b/f and our combined kids). Have I thawed anything out to cook?
Ummm..that would be a big NOPE.
Unless we decide to divy out the assorted Healthy Choice meals in the freezer I guess I WILL be making a trip to Walmart...to pick up fried chicken, at half the cost of KFC.

*And as I started to finally put on makeup and get dressed for the day ---what? I've been cleaning..give me a break--- my cell rings with a call from my exhusband telling me that he is on the way to the ER with my 16 yr old who has dislocated his shoulder....AGAIN! This makes 5 times since summer.
He knows better than to play basketball!

*sigh*
Mama said there'd be days like this, there'd be days like this my mama said.
