No, Really.....I've got it all under control


They say that God won't give you more than you can handle.
I'm thinking that He must think I've got more arms and more sanity than I really do!

Busy week...
4 fundraisers I'm currently working on all seemed to converge into a single week last week. The biggest of which is our Junior Auxiliary Spaghetti Supper.
I'm the PR person for that and it takes a LOT of PR around here.
I'm about smiled out.
Tv, radio, newspaper, making and posting fliers, passing out promotional tickets, selling general tickets, picking up donations....organizing our younger girls to help (since I'm also the chair of that group.)

And as PTO Secretary...the countless hours I've spent checking fundraiser booklets in the past week has left me sleepless in Seattle....oh wait, I don't live in Seattle. Scratch that.
But trust me...some people just amaze me.
How do they become adults without knowing how to fill out an address or even without knowing 10 people to send a card to?
Half full books, books filled out incorrectly.
But I'll be danged if we aren't gonna meet our goal!!
(which we did...as of 11:30pm last night!)

School t-shirts are arriving and will need to be sorted and passed out.

Box Tops were collected (and my class won for the first grade, tyvm)
New Box Top collection pages were linked and printed and sent home.

My Scentsy in a Bag party is going well tho! So far my friends have ordered about $600 worth of product, which scores me about $100 in free products and 3 1/2 priced items! woo hoo. My house will be smelling good again, soon! (which can't come fast enough...since my Mom is coming for the weekend. It's a good thing she's blind and won't be able to see all the dust bunnies!)

Just lots to do.
And the choir is now working on Christmas music.
it's only 92 days til Christmas yanno.

It's a busy week....but I'll get through it.
I always do!!

and OH CRAP..just realized the clock is 15 minutes slow..how did THAT happen?
The puppy wants in, the trash needs to go out...and I still haven't put the hot rollers in my hair!
guess I better get on the stick!

If that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger, then I'm either going to be Superwoman, or drop dead at any second!!

Today is Alphabe-Thursday. That means my blog is brought to you by the letter C...so let's get right down to it. is for ahhh...the simplicity of crayons! An essential tool in my profession, and yet such a vital part of our lives. Crayons have the ability to color our world. They add life to simple drawings, brighten up the darkest of pictures, and create rainbows on rainy days. After completing a writing assignment my students will often ask...."Do we have to draw a picture?" "Of course you do!! And use your crayons!" I will reply. And then the real feelings of their topic show through. Without color, how dull our lives would be. No yellow sunshiny days. No pink cotton candy. No blue skies and green grass.
