LION's CLUB AUCTION BEGINS TODAY
Our local Lion's Club (of which hubby is a part) hosts a Christmas Auction every year the first week of December. This 3 day event provides them with the funds they will need for their projects in the coming year. Hubby donates 3 nights of live tv air time and labor (his and 2 of his staff) to this cause so that people can watch on tv and call in with their bids.

I was interviewed again on our local talk show (in this studio) to promote our upcoming Junior Auxiliary project next weekend: COOKIES WITH SANTA

TIME WITH THE M&Ms DAY
I took the kids to the city for some shopping and lunch. Matt hasn't been here for a whole weekend since Deer Season started in October. I've missed that boy!


So that was my week!

Day 05- A picture of somewhere you’ve been to:
Well now...this is gonna be a toughie b/c, as you know, "I get around!"
Hmmm...where have I been that I want to share today?
Oh, I KNOW!
I've been seeing where several of my friends, (my sister included) have been going to Las Vegas lately. I went back in the summer for a school conference and am SOOOOOOOO wanting to go back again. It was a place I never thought I'd ever like...being that I'm a "good Southern Baptist girl" who doesn't even gamble, and it is "Sin City" afterall...but ohmydang...I LOVED IT!
The electricity in the air of that place...all the stores and restaurants..
It's AMAZING!
I so want to go back and have the money to see shows and shop and eat out...

This is a pic of 3 of my fave places there...and they are side by side on the strip:
Hard Rock Cafe, Coca-Cola Store, and the M&Ms Store


That is where I've been, and want to go back again!

Dictionary.com defines it as Something expected. hmmm....kinda vague, so I looked up "EXPECT": 1.to look forward to; regard as likely to happen; anticipate the occurrence or the coming of 2. to look for with reason or justification: There are certain things I just expect in life: * I expect the light to come on when I flip the switch. * I expect the microwave to pop my popcorn perfectly in about 3 minutes. * I expect whatever I'm plugging into the electrical socket to work when I turn it on. * I expect to be given correct change when paying for a purchase. Today is Alphabe-Thursday. That means my blog is brought to you by the letter C...so let's get right down to it. is for ahhh...the simplicity of crayons! An essential tool in my profession, and yet such a vital part of our lives. Crayons have the ability to color our world. They add life to simple drawings, brighten up the darkest of pictures, and create rainbows on rainy days. After completing a writing assignment my students will often ask...."Do we have to draw a picture?" "Of course you do!! And use your crayons!" I will reply. And then the real feelings of their topic show through. Without color, how dull our lives would be. No yellow sunshiny days. No pink cotton candy. No blue skies and green grass. Lollipops would be tasteless and lemonade would be just water. The fashion industry would go bust and movies would not be worth seeing. Crayons add life. They add spirit. And they make me smile.
