Project 365: busyness as usual
A Picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun!

Good morning everyone! As I prepare this entry it is currently 8:10 am. As per norm around here, everyone is asleep but me....the dog seems to like quality time with me in the mornings, so here we are...sitting together in my chair...her in my lap as I type and share with you the adventures (or rather, non-adventures) of my week!

LAZY SUNDAY
The MIL was suppose to come for dinner today, to celebrate hubby's bday (which was July 30.) She woke up sick and couldn't make it, so we put off grilling our pork tenderloin til supper time and just had a lazy afternoon.
This pic was taken through the dirty dirty sliding glass door of oldest son Trey relaxing with our lab, Bella. (the door is so dirty b/c Bella jumps on it all.the.time!)

CELEBRATE MOLLY'S BIRTHDAY AT HOME Day
My baby girl was turning 11 on Wednesday, but since she wouldn't be here to celebrate with us, and would be gone all day Tuesday (as you'll see in a minute), we celebrated Monday night. She requested grilled steaks and "potato boats" (twice baked potatoes) for her supper, and we got an ice cream cake.

MAGGIE's SPA DAY
The M&Ms (Matt & Molly) spent the day at our local themepark with the church group, I spent the morning working at school in my classroom, again (I'd spent all day Monday there, too), Trey and I then spent the afternoon watching movies together, and Maggie got a trip to the vet for shots and grooming.
She went from looking like this....
to this...
So much cuter!!

TAKE THE KIDS TO THEIR DAD's DAY
Today was actually Molly's birthday, so when we arrived in Glenwood, we stopped off for lunch at my parents' house, and Molly got to blow out candles again (or rather, ONE candle) on a plate of Little Debbie Brownies. She was also given her traditional loaf of banana bread. That started a few years ago when she put it on her birthday list b/c she likes it so well. Now it's just "a thing" my mom does for her!

STILL HARD AT IT AT SCHOOL
but not in the usual sense
Today I continued working on getting my classroom in order. It's a big job and I worked on it all week, pretty much, and am still not finished.
We start with this.....
and turn it into some sort of order!

MAGGIE AND THE TOAD Day
After putting in another long day at school...(it takes FOREVER to get my room in order) I came home and relaxed with the hubby. We warmed up leftovers for supper and just relaxed on the couch watching tv until, that is, we heard a commotion outside. Maggie was out front barking up a storm. When we went to see what was going on, she had this little guy cornered and was trying to capture him.
I think she took on more than she wanted, b/c this was her expression after getting ahold of him in her mouth, and then slinging him into the yard.
YUCK!!
(no animals were hurt in this little adventure. I checked. Mr.Toad hopped off across the lawn to safety.)

SATISFY THE CRAVING DAY
Well..if you know me at all, you have to know what this means....
yup..McDonald's for supper.
I'd been craving fries for several days, so guess what we we had!
I was a happy girl!
and that, my dear friends, was my exciting (or rather, not so exciting,) week.
Lots of work in the classroom, which IS coming together, slowly but surely...but I'm bad to start on one project then see something else that needs to be done and start on it..or get sidetracked visiting with teacher friends I haven't seen in 2 months....well, you know how it goes.
I'll continue fixing it up this week after our inservice sessions this week. Monday and Tuesday are full days with a fabulous speaker, but Wednesday will hopefully afford me the chance to complete the classroom so I can move on to all the stuff that has to be prepared, put togther, and labeled for Open House and the first day of school coming up the following week.
August is my busiest time of year.....so hang in there with me, and I'll get through it and share it all with you!
I am participating in the 2010 Mommytography 365 Project!
For this year long project I will be posting an image a day.
I am hoping this will...
• help me find new things around me to focus my attention on
• share my world with my friends and family more
Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer.
