Here we are..another week has gone by, and rather quickly I might add! Time just keeps slipping, slipping, slipping...into the future....
oh, sorry...guess I was channeling Steve Miller there for a minute!

So...what have I been up to this week, you say?? Oh, why thank you for asking. It has been a busy week, but thinking back, I'm not really sure I accomplished much. Let me look back over the pics I took and see what captivated my time.

Monday

I skipped Tutoring today to make a trip to the post office and run a few errands.
During the week, everything is closed by the time I get out of school.
(well..not everything, just the banks and post office and court house..stuff like that)

New socks!

a pile of clean clothes awaiting a free ride to their home in the closet before I headed off to lead Bible study at church again.
And guess what? They're STILL waiting! (yes..I've been a slacker)

The time I leave school on Thursdays.

Maggie is ready for some attention.
(dunno if you can see it, but she has her Gizmo, from the Gremlins movie. It's the same colors as she is...and she loves to bring it to me to throw so she can go get it and bring it back to me.)

Saturday

Driving to T-town for some much needed retail therapy.
Actually, I had to find a dress for Molly to wear to the Valentine's Dance next Saturday.
I scored big!! got her 2 dresses at Kohl's...on clearance and with an additional 15% discount on top of that...2 dresses, mind you, for $20!
Just wait til you see them next week! Cuz you KNOW I'll be posting pics of my babygirl!
And what is THAT, you may ask...on the steering column? PANDA EARS from the Memphis Zoo trip about 3 summers ago. They got broken the first day we had them, so I traded Molly and took these, and put them there to remind me of how much fun we have on road trips!

so.... there ya have it...a peek into my week. It doesn't seem like much I don't reckon, but it keeps me busy!

Great pictures and I must say the Panda ears look like Mouse ears so automatically I think of Mickey Mouse and Disney World!

Fun times! On days that I have cheerleading practice I don't leave school until 5:30 either...sometimes later :P

And great job on finding great deals at Kohls...I love getting good deals there...in fact I have a 30% off coupon sitting on my counter!

So..it's a new year. And I haven't posted here since..umm..May. I have been thinking of deleting this blog..or at least all the entries in it, and starting over. Maybe a school blog. I see tons of cute ones everyday when I'm perusing pinterest. I could do that. maybe. no...probably not. But I might try. This place did not turn out the way I wanted it to. I have my personal "diary" blogs/journals elsewhere. This one is too public for that anymore. I should make it something fun. I don't want to lose it. Erica made it so cute for me. I don't even know how to do that... or, for that matter, delete the entries I have here. I can't find the "dashboard" button that use to be there. hmmmm.. This may take more time than I thought.

Today is Alphabe-Thursday. That means my blog is brought to you by the letter C...so let's get right down to it. is for ahhh...the simplicity of crayons! An essential tool in my profession, and yet such a vital part of our lives. Crayons have the ability to color our world. They add life to simple drawings, brighten up the darkest of pictures, and create rainbows on rainy days. After completing a writing assignment my students will often ask...."Do we have to draw a picture?" "Of course you do!! And use your crayons!" I will reply. And then the real feelings of their topic show through. Without color, how dull our lives would be. No yellow sunshiny days. No pink cotton candy. No blue skies and green grass. Lollipops would be tasteless and lemonade would be just water. The fashion industry would go bust and movies would not be worth seeing. Crayons add life. They add spirit. And they make me smile.
