Monday Movie Madness

So the other day on Facebook I decided to pose the question, "What is the best movie ever made?"

I got quite a few responses. Most did not surprise me...lots of classics:

and even

and then there were some that may be classics someday...if they aren't already:

of course there were genre faves:
DISNEY:

(*altho I must admit..this one is not one of my faves! Dunno why really..just kinda weird to me. Never understood it. And the new Tim Burton one is so freaky looking, too!)

FANTASY:

ROMANCE:

and then just some plain 'ole good shows!

And there were 2 listed that I have not seen...and probably won't.

So..what do you think?
Is your fave listed in this compililation? Or is there another great movie out there that should be added to the list?

I'm thinking of doing a Monday Movie type of post each week. So stay tuned...it's coming to a blog near you...hopefully!

Oh I do like a lot of those movies listed, but I really like most any Disney movie such as Enchanted, The Game Plan, A Cinderella Story, Another Cinderella Story and then off course there are the Father of the Bride movies, and the Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan Flicks...and the National Treasure Duo...oh I could go on and on!!
The Muppet Movie. Best. Movie. Ever. It was vaudeville humor and postmodern self-referencing all in one! Jim Henson had to go in and ask Orson freakin' Wells "Will you be in my puppet movie?" And he said YES!

Wow there are some good ones. I love pretty woman too. Sound of music is a favorite for sure. What about Calamity Jane?
I have a list of faves and many of them are indeed in this post. The others are more PJ centric than crowd pleasers: Tombstone; Crash; Always (with Holly Hunter and Richard Dreyfus); the one with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx...where Tom Cruise is a contract killer....
There are several of those that I haven't seen, but I have seen some and glad that I don't have to pick one.

I like a lot of movies and what I picked would probably reflect my mood that day, lol!
