A Picture a day for 365 days...a years worth of fun!

Wow...just realized I've only made it over here twice this week...I'm so far behind in reading everyone..I'm so sorry! Things are busy right now..some weeks are just like that. I'll try to catch up on your posts, but for now, let me reflect on what kept ME so busy and unattentive to you this past week.

Sunday

I have never claimed to be a "scrapper", and have very little experience with it. (and I DO mean, "very little"), so this attempt at creating a scrapbook page to represent my JA chapter that goes into our national scrapbook is not one I am particularly proud of. I do it because I'm the Public Relations chairperson, and it's my duty. Last year, I had help. This year..it was all on me.
But I got it done and submitted.

Kidnap Your Daughter Day
Yep..that's what I did.
She'd had a couple of bad mornings...mostly related to being too tired and not having enough school uniforms to provide easy choices in dressing. So...
I did what any loving mother would do...I took off half a day, got a sub for my tutoring class, checked her out of school (which she was totally surprised about) and we headed to the city for lunch and shopping.
We ate at a WhatABurger, for the first time ever (not that impressed, btw) and bought her 2 new pair of school pants, 5 new uniform shirts (in the 3 mandatory colors), and a pair of denim capris that were on sale.

She was a happy girl, and the mornings since have been much more pleasant.

Wednesday

A quick supper before Bible Study at church, since I didn't want what they were serving.

(kinda gross, I know...but they bring back fond childhood memories of visiting my cousin in Kentucky in the summers. She was older, and her mom worked, so we got to stay at her house alone all day. Her mother always had these for us to eat for lunch. It was the only time in my whole childhood I ever got to eat Spaghetti-o's. Only when at Sherri's house in the summers. And always the kind with the hotdogs.

Now that I'm older...I much prefer the meatball kind. But sometimes I just have to get a can of the Franks, for old time's sake!

Thursday

A surprise in the mail!

A diary friend knew that we collect BoxTops at our school, and sent these to me!
Molly counted...there were 100 in there.
She then confiscated them for HER class.
She won the class competition by bringing them and her class earned a "jean pass" to be able to wear regular clothes one day instead of their uniforms.
She was a hero!

Friday

I love my blowdryer.
It was my gift from Santa this year.

SCORE!!

I am so glad to not be having to sell and deliver Girl Scout Cookies this year!
Molly always sold 250-300 boxes or more each year. I'm glad to just get to be a parent who BUYS them for once!

So there ya have it. The things I do for love... and all that jazz!
I hope your week was as full as mine...and may this next one bring nothing but joy!
Have a good one!

I am participating in the 2010 Mommytography 365 Project!
For this year long project I will be posting an image a day.
I am hoping this will...

• help me find new things around me to focus my attention on
• share my world with my friends and family more

Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer.
