Life is good. Busy....but good.
Made it through another week. Actually, I should say I survived another week. It zoomed by so quickly I'm surprised I didn't fall off! But you know me...if I ain't busy, I ain't happy! lol

VETERAN'S DAY SERVICE

One of our prominant older ladies at church put together a Veteran's Day Service (2 actually) at our church. Sunday morning we honored the Vets that were members of our church, then Sunday night we held a community service to honor vets from our whole area. The choir sang, and she asked me...ME...to perform the one solo she wanted sung. I was so honored! It was an old hymn, "Let There Be Peace On Earth", and I already knew it, so that helped calm my nerves a bit. In fact, it was the very first song I ever played on the piano at church when I was growing up....I think I was in the 5th or 6th grade! Not particularly one of my favorite hymns, but kinda neat how that worked out!

END OF CHEERLEADING CELEBRATION

The football players (grades 3-6) and cheerleaders had an end of season party.
They all got trophies and pizza.
We had a lot of fun participating in this league, but I'm glad to have my weekends back!

MINI-ME DAY

The little girl across the street waits with Molly every morning for the bus. Molly says that everyone on the bus thinks they are sisters because they look alike.
Hmmm....what do you think?

I FINALLY FINISHED THAT BOOK DAY

I don't know about you, but I love to read, but don't have much time to enjoy "free reading". So...I keep a book in my bathroom. (That grosses some people out I've been told, but it's the only place in the house I can sit quietly, uninterrupted---sometimes--- for a few minutes, to actually GET to read something I want to read.)
I've had this book in my basket for several months now...and finally finished it. A great read...about how if you have something about yourself you can't change, to make it work for you. Anita Renfroe is great. A Christian comedic speaker. She's the one that does that Mom Song.

(for those that have never heard it)
Next up...a Dean Koontz book--The Husband

BOOK STUDY DAY

This is the book we are studying now at school. I read it this summer...WONDERFUL book. So many great techniques for dealing with kids who don't always have the best attitudes or make the right choices. There's also one for parents. Some of our staff went to the Love and Logic conference in Denver this summer and very impressed. I've instituted some of the methods in my class this year, and with my own daughter, and am seeing good things from it. And it makes things much calmer and less stressful for me, in how I deal with things that arise!

WE INTERRUPT THIS MARRIAGE TO BRING YOU DEER SEASON DAY

Hubby got a 6 point.
My boys didn't get anything. They are back out in the woods today.

So...that's what's kept me busy this week.
More of the same for the upcoming one.
After school tutoring Monday and Tuesday.
A Blessed Gifts party at a friend's house Monday night.
A Holiday Bazaar event put on by some other friends that sell things Tuesday (31 Gifts, Scentsy, Spilada Jewelry, Discovery Toys, and Blessed Gifts...)
Choir practice Wednesday
Book Study and PTO meeting Thursday
Work at school til 6pm Friday to get ready for the next week (since I can't go work up there Saturday)
Family Thanksgiving Brunch Saturday....
yep, another busy week ahead.

it's what keeps me goin!
Hope y'all have a great one!

I am participating in the 2010 Mommytography 365 Project!
For this year long project I will be posting an image a day.
I am hoping this will...

• help me find new things around me to focus my attention on
• share my world with my friends and family more

Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer.

Congrats to your daughter on her trophy and yes her and the neighbor girl do look like they could be sisters. They are both adorable.

I love Anita Renfroe. She is so funny and is so good at getting her point across in her humor.

That Teaching with Love and Logic sounds like something I should read. I may have to look that one up at the library.

No, I don't think I did know that you knew the ladies of Point of Grace. That is so cool. I just love that song "There Is Nothing Greater Than Grace. Such beautiful words and music. Those ladies voices blend so beautifully.

Hope you have a great week!
