Facing the Truth

We try to fight it...we don't want to admit that it could possibly be true, but I guess it's time to accept the inevitable.

I'm getting old.

I had this epiphany a few moments ago as I looked at all the products sitting on my vanity.

There...amid the hairbrushes and curling irons were things like
*AGE REWIND foundation make-up
*OIL of OLAY moisturizer
*REGINERIST eye cream (to get rid of wrinkles and bags around the eyes)
*SENSITIVITY toothpaste
and
*a box of hair color (to "paint" over the gray in my hair, as one precious little hispanic student of mine called it the other day)

*sigh*
yep...

it's happened.
I'm high maintenance.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! It's killing me, too. It's been so long since we've talked but you should see my hands, Rob...I have gnarled knuckles like I thought only grandmas have...then I remember that I AM a grandma. *Huge sigh*
Love & miss you,
~Barb~
I bought my first jar of "especially for face" moisturizer yesterday. Before that I was using whatever, baby lotion, whatever was around the house, but now I think I need some "grown up" face cream... the beginning of the end!
