Thursday's Thoughts--life is good

I guess that's how I feel lately.
Life is good.

I love the class I have this year. Sure...there are a couple that aggravate me a bit, but then there always are. They are all very sweet kids, a couple just need a LOT of attention.

I have an autistic girl in my class this year, so that is keeping things interesting. She's very high functioning, unlike my previous autistic boy from a few years ago. She just does things like hide in the big trashcan we use to store backpacks, and pee on herself most everyday, and throw big screaming fits when she has to leave my room to go to her "other class". She can be very loving, too. I'm enjoying her way more than I'd anticipated.

I'm respected at school..other teachers come to me for help. Admins and other support staff come to me for my opinions and help. I love where I work.

Married life is FABULOUS.
For all his faults he's had over the years, (and some of you know them) I have to say, my hubby is SO loving towards me...so attentive...so spoiling. I've never felt so loved and taken care of in my life. It's really wonderful.

Molly is good...loving 6th grade.
Trey just ordered his senior ring yesterday..*sigh*.
Matt is....well, he's Matt. He's becoming such a young man. At 12, he is already starting to tower over me physically, but he's still very much a mama's boy.
So different than Trey.

My life is good.
I'm not saying everything is "perfect".
Sure..there's a $400 electric bill, and it's been a long time since my last payday in June, with 2 more weeks still to go, and noone's paying their advertising bills at the TV station so my honey can't even cash his own paycheck, but money is just a thing. We've toughed it out before, we can do it again.

I'm taking control of other issues in it...trying to get a handle on some things.
But overall....I'm happy! And I like it!

Sounds great! And it's good to put the money thing in perspective, even though those issues loom large at times, they don't come close to the really important stuff.

When the other things in life are good, money (or lack of it) doesn't freak us out so bad...when everything is falling apart, that is when money troubles seem to be humongous, huh? (I thought you teachers got paid year round?)

I can't believe Trey is old enough to be ordering a Sr. ring...OMG, time has really flown. Wow...just wow!
