Project 365: Finding my Groove

A Picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun!

A pretty good week this week...finding my groove in school. Loving my class. Finding a balance between work and homelife again (now that I'm married, it takes on a whole new meaning.)

MIL COMES TO LUNCH DAY
Since we had all the kids, and the MIL (who has always prepared dinner for hubby and stepson every Sunday of every month of every year of their lives) doesn't have a table big enough at her house for the whole brood, she came over to our house. We grilled burgers and she brought homemade pies.

MOLLY'S FIRST TIME EVER TO RIDE THE BUS TO SCHOOL
Molly has ridden a bus before..everyday the past year, but only from her elementary school to my primary school, in the afternoons. This year she decided she wanted to ride it TO school, and maybe home from school sometimes. So...she did..and she liked it.

TAKING CONTROL OF MY LIFE DAY
I am not a small girl. I've never been a small girl. But today I decided to take affirmative action to do something about it. I visited the doctor and got on a plan. Hopefully, in 28 days when I go back for a check up, there will be less of me to love.

FUN WITH BLOCKS DAY
For our "bell ringer" (the activity my students do from the time they arrive until the tardy bell rings) I gave them pattern blocks to play with...with no set directions of what they had to do with them. They love this fun!

BE A TOTAL SLUG DAY
well..that's not exactly true...I did do 5 loads of laundry, and fry deer steak and roast corn on the cob for supper. But other than that..not much else got accomplished. I laid on the gameroom loveseat all day and watched tv on dvd while hubby was at the tv station working. No kids...just me and Maggie.

And that pretty well sums up my week.
This next one will be busy...getting ready for our Junior Auxiliary's annual Spaghetti Supper Friday night. As Public Relations chairman, I have a lot to do this week to make sure the word is out...plus I still have to sell my 20 tickets!
(the money goes into our scholarship fund to help students pursuing a career working with children.) So...hopefully there will be lots of pics to share then!

Y'all have a great one!

I am participating in the 2010 Mommytography 365 Project!
For this year long project I will be posting an image a day.
I am hoping this will...

• help me find new things around me to focus my attention on
• share my world with my friends and family more

Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer.

I love how you titled each day. How fun to ride the bus. My kids go out of district so they will never get to ride the bus...they are sad.
The lunch looked very yummy.
Good luck with the plan. I need to get on one myself. Your students did great with the blocks too.
