So much going on ..as usual

Made it home from OKC Sunday night.
Had school, tutoring, and picking up 350+ boxes of cookies last night
Had to skip the JA meetings to do that!

Stayed up til midnight sorting enough cookies to take to school personnel today.

Today it's class all day...then tutoring....then working the book fair.
(*and delivering cookies to school staff throughout the day)
Then I'm sure I'll be up late sorting cookies for town deliveries.

Wednesday....delivering cookies in town, church,choir practice.

Thursday...I've got to get my JA Scrapbook page made for the national scrapbook. It has to be postmarked by Saturday!

Friday....girl scout meeting

Saturday...selling girl scout cookies at Walmart.

and on top of all this...my dad is in very bad health.

I think I made my mother cry last night because she wouldn't go against his wishes and call an ambulance to take him to the hospital.
He's on oxygen 24/7 for his COPD, and right now, he's got pnuemonia (or something) along with it.
He can't breathe. He's slept in his recliner for several nights now b/c he lay down in his bed and breathe.
He's eaten less in 5 days than a child takes to school in a lunchbox for one meal.
He was too weak to walk across the house to go to the bathroom yesterday....and made a comment to the effect of how it would be easier to just not wake up.

But he refuses treatment..PRIDE is his downfall.
He can't afford an ambulance ride (so he thinks), and can't sit in the local clinic's waiting room for an hour waiting on them to see him, or make the trip to the neighboring hospital on his own.

I'm beyond frustrated...
She assured me he was up moving around more last night....
But she won't go against his wishes...until he can't express them anymore.

*sighs*

So..I just stay busy...waiting.

I'm so sorry about your Dad. I'd say to call an ambulance yourself but he'd just refuse transport. Get John to talk to him, maybe?

Wish I had some Girl Scout cookies, YUM! lol

I wanna hear about OKC!!! lol

I see tons of cute ones everyday when I'm perusing pinterest. I could do that. maybe. no...probably not. But I might try. This place did not turn out the way I wanted it to. I have my personal "diary" blogs/journals elsewhere. This one is too public for that anymore. I should make it something fun. I don't want to lose it. Erica made it so cute for me. I don't even know how to do that... or, for that matter, delete the entries I have here. I can't find the "dashboard" button that use to be there. hmmmm.. This may take more time than I thought.

Today is Alphabe-Thursday. That means my blog is brought to you by the letter C...so let's get right down to it. is for ahhh...the simplicity of crayons! An essential tool in my profession, and yet such a vital part of our lives. Crayons have the ability to color our world. They add life to simple drawings, brighten up the darkest of pictures, and create rainbows on rainy days. After completing a writing assignment my students will often ask...."Do we have to draw a picture?" "Of course you do!! And use your crayons!" I will reply. And then the real feelings of their topic show through. Without color, how dull our lives would be. No yellow sunshiny days. No pink cotton candy. No blue skies and green grass. Lollipops would be tasteless and lemonade would be just water. The fashion industry would go bust and movies would not be worth seeing. Crayons add life. They add spirit. And they make me smile.
