Talkin' bout my generation

On the same day I added a former high school teacher of mine to my friends list on FB, one of MY former kindergarten students found ME.

She was in my class in 1991...all grown up and graduated from college now...married...beautiful.which led me to several other kids from her class--rehashing memories...hearing her side of events from back then..how I was "a god" in her words.

LOL now here she is...applying for a teaching job...told her to use my name if she wanted at the school my former asst. principal whom I love is now the principal.
wow.....aged me greatly in a day to see how those sweet little faces I remember have matured into these beautiful successful young woman and men.

Made me realize that maybe I didn't screw up a whole generation of kids!

So...back to school today.
Trying to get stuff ready to be out Thursday and Friday.
It takes so long to get substitute stuff ready. I probably spend more time prepping for her than she spends teaching the stuff I leave! LOL

Yesterday was quiet...laid around all morning. Went to the dentist in the afternoon. All good reports. Matthew's temporary front teeth are still strong and holding on. (When he broke them off and had them replaced, they said they'd last about a year. It's been a year and a half now.)

Sunday I was upset. Our Girl Scout Cookie delivery didn't make it in.
They won't be here for another week---next Sunday.
I won't be here Sunday to get them, so I'll have to make arrangements to get them Monday or something. Just pisses me off. The notes we had plainly stated the girls would start delivering today! GRRRR

Not much else going on.
Need to get organized.

Tutoring today....and taking a meal to a family in my Sunday School Class.

Church and Choir Practice tomorrow.

All day workshop in Arkadelphia Thursday, then PTO Meeting at 7pm, then going to Mom's to spend the night.

Driving to Oklahoma City on Friday with Molly for a girlie weekend.
Coming home Sunday.

JA on Monday night.

I may need to "not do" a couple of things in there...thinking of having someone do my tutoring today. And maybe skipping the PTO meeting Thursday night so we won't be so late driving to Mom's.

Yeh...I just may do that.

Ok..time to get ready for Math and Word Study. Kids will be back from the Library in 20 minutes.

Y'all have a great Tuesday that feels like Monday!

Oh, I wish one of my former kindergarten students would find me. I taught at an inner city school in Ft.Worth, and didn't keep up with any of them. :(
