The game room bathroom has a leak somewhere...we thought it was the toilet, but even after turning the water off to it, the floor is still staying wet. The plumber will be out here to see about it "soon". (ugh)

well...I'm not really irish, altho my kids are... but I couldn't resist wearing these glasses at school today. My students (and the other teachers) got a big kick out of them!

MY BIRTHDAY DINNER AT MOM'S
Let the celebrating begin. My bday isn't actually til the 23rd, but since we could all be there tonight, we had a party. My 5 yr old neice helped me blow out the candles....

....then picked the cupcake with the PINK candle for herself!



Saturday, March 19
DE' PLANE! DE'PLANE!

Greg heard of an old wrecked plane out at our airport that's going up for auction. Evidently, the dude that wrecked it there several years ago, just left it. The airport has been storing it and is now ready to sell it for recovery fees owed.
Greg was hoping it was something he could get and either fix up to fly/sell..or piece out for parts. I think he's decided it's in too bad of shape to mess with at all tho.

So...that was our week.
This week is Spring Break. Not a lot planned.
Matthew (my 12-almost 13 yr old) is here by himself for a few days. We are both enjoying the quiet time together.
Yesterday we watched movies all day...today a little furniture moving..tomorrow maybe some bowling before he goes back to his Dad's on Wednesday.
A quiet week is a nice week!

I didn't know you had a lefty bowler:). Cool. Love all the. Food this week. Yum to what looks like a taco salad. Love the edible bowls. Like your cute silly glasses too. Don't u hate testing weeks? No fun. Stressful for all involved...except the quiet.

So..it's a new year. And I haven't posted here since..umm..May. I have been thinking of deleting this blog..or at least all the entries in it, and starting over. Maybe a school blog. I see tons of cute ones everyday when I'm perusing pinterest. I could do that. maybe. no...probably not. But I might try. This place did not turn out the way I wanted it to. I have my personal "diary" blogs/journals elsewhere. This one is too public for that anymore. I should make it something fun. I don't want to lose it. Erica made it so cute for me. I don't even know how to do that... or, for that matter, delete the entries I have here. I can't find the "dashboard" button that use to be there. hmmmm.. This may take more time than I thought.

Today is Alphabe-Thursday. That means my blog is brought to you by the letter C...so let's get right down to it. is for ahhh...the simplicity of crayons! An essential tool in my profession, and yet such a vital part of our lives. Crayons have the ability to color our world. They add life to simple drawings, brighten up the darkest of pictures, and create rainbows on rainy days. After completing a writing assignment my students will often ask...."Do we have to draw a picture?" "Of course you do!! And use your crayons!" I will reply. And then the real feelings of their topic show through. Without color, how dull our lives would be. No yellow sunshiny days. No pink cotton candy. No blue skies and green grass. Lollipops would be tasteless and lemonade would be just water. The fashion industry would go bust and movies would not be worth seeing. Crayons add life. They add spirit. And they make me smile.
