WAFFLE HOUSE AFTER CHURCH
The past couple of weeks, Molly and I have gone to the "Awful Waffle" for omelettes after church. I saw this sign posted there, and loved it!

MAIL FROM MY CALIFORNIA GIRL
My sister's grandbaby sent me a thank you note she "made" for the Christmas gifts I'd sent her. She is 18 months old.

HOMEWORK FOR TEACHERS
one of the nightly rituals...cutting out things I've laminated at school.

I found these Eric Carle bulletin board sets that go with some of his books and am gonna use them in centers (sequencing the story, matching time to events) and in Writing (describing the animals, using new verbs for their actions).

LAPDOG
It's been so cold outside (temps in the teens) that we've been letting Bella, our lab, inside at night to sleep.
Now she thinks she belongs inside...up in our laps!

UNEXPECTED SNOW DAY
when they forecasted a possible chance of snow, but with no accumulation....they got it wrong.
We woke up to this...and school was cancelled...AGAIN! (ugh)

But we didn't let that stop us...we pushed our way through the snow to get done what we needed to get done!

QUICK TRIP DAY
Molly was really bummed that her dad couldn't come get her AGAIN due to weather conditions on Friday. But once we realized that the temps for Saturday would be in the 40s and the roads were clear, we loaded up and I took her to his house (80 miles away).
ON the way home, I popped in a cd and sang along with one of my alltime fave singers.

(actually, I'm trying to decide which song I want to sing in church in a couple weeks. I was asked to do a special again, and need to find one to do.)
I think that was a mistake..b/c not only could I not sing half the notes (which shoulda been my cue to stop singing...now I can barely talk today.
Oh well...surely my voice will heal soon.

So that, my friends, was my week.
This upcoming one should be interesting.
Our school is being audited (Scholastic Audit) where they come in and go through paperwork and interview every teacher, select students and parents, observe in classrooms....all.week.long.
Nerve wracking to say the least.
Plus meetings and such after school EVERYDAY and a quick trip to the boys' school on Thursday for conferences...
my head will be spinning I'm sure.

But I hope YOU have a nice relaxing week!!
