Another Day Down

Spent the day working on .....well..not really sure!
We were told a lot of information on how the principal wants things to go for the next year. We discussed it...not that we can change anything, and we looked at curriculum and plotted some things on calendars..but I don't feel like we really accomplished much.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Came home and laid down for a bit...my back has hurt all day. Hope it's not my gall bladder. That's where it's hurting...in the spot in the middle of my back that always hurts when my gall bladder is acting up.

I love them...the scented wax melts and gives off a wonderful fragrance, but the wax/burner are never too hot to touch. I spilled some on my hand the other day, and while it felt warm when it hit me, it did not burn me.

Greg babysat Maggie while Molly and I were at the party, and then we headed back to his house to watch tv.

That was my evening!

I know...I know...you can hardly contain yourself with envy for the exciting life I lead! LOL

John will be here around noon to get the kids for the weekend/week. It'll be quiet around here again.

No plans for the weekend. Prolly the pool. Need to do some cleaning of the storage building, too..if I can get motivated to do it.

Today is Alphabe-Thursday. That means my blog is brought to you by the letter C...so let's get right down to it. is for ahhh...the simplicity of crayons! An essential tool in my profession, and yet such a vital part of our lives. Crayons have the ability to color our world. They add life to simple drawings, brighten up the darkest of pictures, and create rainbows on rainy days. After completing a writing assignment my students will often ask...."Do we have to draw a picture?" "Of course you do!! And use your crayons!" I will reply. And then the real feelings of their topic show through. Without color, how dull our lives would be. No yellow sunshiny days. No pink cotton candy. No blue skies and green grass. Lollipops would be tasteless and lemonade would be just water. The fashion industry would go bust and movies would not be worth seeing. Crayons add life. They add spirit. And they make me smile.
