The 9th Day
The M&Ms went bowling with the church today in Texarkana.
They had a great time. Everyone bragged on how well Matt did. I think it made him feel really good.
Trey and I watched "The Outsiders" while they were gone.

oh my gosh...did that age me or what?
Look how young Rob Lowe looks..and Tom Cruise doesn't even look like himself!
And Diane Lane....

I'd forgotten she played Cherry. I had it in my mind that Lea Thompson did. I was surprised! I love Diane Lane.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tonight was Matt's turn for our dinner choice.
He wanted bbq wings, so I got a bag of those, and a bag of garlic parmesan chicken "nuggets" that tasted almost as good at Buffalo Wild Wings..not QUITE as good, but almost. I made corn on the cob, too. They were happy.
Tomorrow is Molly's turn to pick the dinner menu.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After dinner I went over to Greg's w/o any kids.
It was suppose to be "Robin and Greg night" as he called it, but he had been to the dentist and had to come home and take a pain pill.
Routine cleaning, but with his degenerative gum disease...it hurt.
He says we'll have that night tomorrow night.
We'll see.
I knew I was jinxing tonight when I shaved my legs this afternoon. I wasn't surprised.
We had a nice night tho....watched "Gran Torino"

good movie.
and that was my day.
Tomorrow we'll probably go to the pool since I have to be at school Thursday and Friday to work on Literacy curriculum. Then the kids will go to their dad's for another week and I'll have a quiet week in which I hope to get a lot of cleaning done.
but for now...this is it! A lazy day today..and probably one more tomorrow.

A month of positive thinking
1. I spent one-on-one time with my oldest child today. He doesn't get that very often.
2. I remembered to praise the efforts my kids made today instead of overlooking them.
3. I did not focus on what I didn't get, and just enjoyed the time spent with my man.
