After the moment passes

Easter baskets have been filled, distributed, and now their contents eaten.
Church services were attended, the real meaning of Easter worshipped, and thoughts reflected upon.

Back to the grind it seems.

It's like that with holidays.
We get all caught up in the preparations, then in the moment...
then the meals are made, eaten and cleaned up...gifts/goodies discovered, torn open, and trash discarded. Friends and family share time together, then depart their seperate ways.

Don't you wish that feeling would last longer?
That "IN THE MOMENT"?

It's gone too fast.

Sawyer Brown sings a song called, "Tell me where Christmas Goes" that sums it up.
"Tell me where Christmas goes
After all the gifts and snow
I hope it doesn't go far
Daddy said close your eyes
Remember when and you will find
That it's right where you are
Cause Christmas goes right to your heart"

I think it's the same for all holidays and special moments.
We have to keep them in our heart.
