Showers of Blessings

I have found, in the past few years, that the generosity of others is an amazing thing. Just when I need something, it is provided to me.
Being a Christian, I call this a "God thing". I ask, He provides. It's part of my faith.
I do not ask greedily...but each morning, our traveling prayer includes, "Thank you for the blessings you bestow upon us. We ask your continued blessings on us this day...safety, wellness, and a good day. Help us to be a light in someone's life, a blessing to others, even if only in some small way."

And He does take care of us and provide for us. I truly believe I would not be where I am today, if not for His hand on my life.

Well...all that said...I tell you...the way in which He provides is truly amazing sometimes!
As you know, I need new tires again. 2 of them. This will run me about $260. I made mention of this in Sunday School Sunday morning...just in passing, and at the end of class, one of the ladies came up to me and said that back in January, someone had come to her and given her some money to give to me. (They had taken up a love gift for me and my kids at Christmas..the ladies in my class, to help us with Christmas ---I didn't tell y'all that. My pride I guess.) and anyway...this person had not been there to donate in December, but wanted to then. Katheryn said, "I don't know why I haven't given it to you yet...I guess you and I haven't been here on the same Sundays, (which we really haven't..I've missed a lot of Sundays in the past couple of months.) but I do have it, and it can help you get new tires."
Of course I mentioned that THAT was probably why she hadn't given it to me yet...that God knew I'd need it now! He provides that way.

BUT...the biggest blessing, or at least it is to me is what I found out Saturday night.
I got home from Greg's house and was reading email and had one from my mom's best friend...whom we call Auntie Carolyn. She lives in Montgomery, AL, and is in the process of selling her house and moving back to Arkansas. She said she had something that she would not have room for when they move...downsizing and all....and did I want it.
She enclosed a picture.

A PIANO!!!!
the size I've been looking for!!

She stressed to me that she would be GIVING it to me, not selling it. And that if I wanted it, once they got to Arkansas, we'd find a way to get it to Hope from Benton. (about 80 miles).

O M G!!
a piano!!
I'm soooooooooooooo excited!

When I mentioned it to my mom on Sunday she was surprised! I figured she had told Carolyn that I'd been wanting again...and that was what had spurred Carolyn to ask me about it.
But Mom said no...she had not even mentioned it to her.
So now I KNOW it was a "God thing".

Of course..it may be months before they get their house in AL sold and get one here..but now I know I've got a piano coming!!

Yes...I am blessed.
I'm loved by so many people.
God provides not only for my needs, but for some of my wants as well.

some call it Karma...which I do also kinda believe in...as in the "you reap what you sew" philosophy.

Whatever it is...I'm so very thankful.
