told ya I'd forget!



yep...I did it.
I forgot to post my picture for yesterday.

The prompt was dinner....shoulda been simple for me.
Well...here it is. The dinner I ate last night!

my version of a taco salad/nachos supreme, made from leftovers.
~leftover Wolf brand chili, poured over the Great Value (walmart) brand Tostito scoops chips, with shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomato. (We were out of sour cream!)

it was yummy! not so good for my tummy tho!

Today's prompt is
BUTTON

...gonna have to cheat be creative on this on.
I will admit to not having taken a picture of a button today.
BUT...I do have pictures of buttons saved...so I shall share one of them.

I use to be one of those girls who had buttons pinned all over my jacket...yanno...back when that was in style...like 30 years ago!
Since I am no longer a teenager, and way too cool to do that anymore, I just save pictures of buttons I like.

This is one of them...and OH.SO.TRUE for me right now!

Ok...I've posted for today, catching me back up. Maybe I'll get my act together and remember to do it again tomorrow.
It's kinda busy/hectic tho right now.
Tutoring Monday-Thursday after school.
church/choir practice on Wednesdays
This Thursday is PTO right after tutoring, and not only do I have to perform my regular duties as Secretary, it's the 1st Grade's turn to do the program.
So...I'm trying to teach my firsties a few Valentine songs and make cute little heart necklaces for them to wear.
We'll see how that goes.

So..if I get behind again, you'll understand, right?

So..it's a new year. And I haven't posted here since..umm..May. I have been thinking of deleting this blog..or at least all the entries in it, and starting over. Maybe a school blog. I see tons of cute ones everyday when I'm perusing pinterest. I could do that. maybe. no...probably not. But I might try. This place did not turn out the way I wanted it to. I have my personal "diary" blogs/journals elsewhere. This one is too public for that anymore. I should make it something fun. I don't want to lose it. Erica made it so cute for me. Today is Alphabe-Thursday. That means my blog is brought to you by the letter C...so let's get right down to it. is for ahhh...the simplicity of crayons! An essential tool in my profession, and yet such a vital part of our lives. Crayons have the ability to color our world. They add life to simple drawings, brighten up the darkest of pictures, and create rainbows on rainy days. After completing a writing assignment my students will often ask...."Do we have to draw a picture?" "Of course you do!! And use your crayons!" I will reply. And then the real feelings of their topic show through. Without color, how dull our lives would be. No yellow sunshiny days. No pink cotton candy. No blue skies and green grass.
