Photo A Day Challenge


I came across this new photo challenge while reading my bloggy/facebook/and now pinterest friend Cathy at Tales of the TCKK Family.
(hope that link works..halfway through typing it, I realized I'd forgotten the code!)

Anyway...I realize I'm already 5 days behind, but maybe I can catch up and do this...it might give me a purpose for the time being!!

So..let's see... to catch up to today's date...

Day 1
My View Today:

well..hmmm...

I've got nothing. Nada... no pics labeled 2-1-12.
Let's see..that was Wednesday, right?
umm...I tutored after school, got home about 6:00, picked Molly up from church at 7:30, and worked on school stuff til 10:00 when I fixed Greg his supper then went to bed.
so...nope, no pics.

Ok, let's see...
Day 2:

Umm... oh wait!
I pinned THIS on Thursday...
it's not an original picture, but it's words..right?

Yeh..I kinda needed to be reminded of that Thursday.

So..now, Day 3: Friday
Hands:
our wedding day.

(gimme a break..I didn't know about this prompt til today...so I'm having to use some old pics until I get caught up.)

Day 4..Saturday/yesterday
A Stranger
ok..now again, since I didn't know to take a picture of a stranger yet, I'm gonna use one I already have. And since I don't normally take pics of strangers, it wasn't easy finding one, but I did.
When I was in Vegas in July two summers ago, we went into the Excalibur and I tried to take a picture of one of the guys dressed up but he told me that I couldn't do it b/c they charge to let you have your pics taken with them.
But I got one anyway...of him saying "You can't take my picture!"


and today..
Day 5
the prompt is 10am.

ummmm...at 10am I was in Sunday School.
Don't think I coulda taken a pic at that time...
Let me see if I can find something related to my Sunday School class...,

ok..couldn't find any pics of my Sunday School Sisters, a great group of women, all but one a bit older than I am, and oh so very loving and nurturing!
I love those ladies.
But here is one of my church, where I was at 10am today...


and now I'm all caught up...and will have to remember to take a picture of dinner tomorrow night for my picture.

hmmm...like THAT would be hard! LOL
I've got tons of pictures of dinners on here...
but remembering to take one of tomorrow's dinner...that could be tricky.
Especially since I don't even know what we are having.

I know you'll be on pins and needles waiting with anticipation to see!!

Until then...
know I'm getting along ok.
I still covet your prayers and good thoughts for all those things mentioned in the previous entry.
No word on what is causing my mother's pains and swellings and internal bleeding.
Finances at our house are the worst they've ever been...but something's gotta give and I have faith we will get through this rough patch, just like I've been brought thru before.

So I'm hanging in there, and trying to keep positive!
It's all I can do, right?

So..it's a new year. And I haven't posted here since..umm..May. I have been thinking of deleting this blog..or at least all the entries in it, and starting over. Maybe a school blog. I see tons of cute ones everyday when I'm perusing pinterest. I could do that. maybe. no...probably not. But I might try. This place did not turn out the way I wanted it to. I have my personal "diary" blogs/journals elsewhere. This one is too public for that anymore. I should make it something fun. I don't want to lose it. Erica made it so cute for me. I don't even know how to do that... or, for that matter, delete the entries I have here. I can't find the "dashboard" button that use to be there. hmmmm.. This may take more time than I thought.

Today is Alphabe-Thursday. That means my blog is brought to you by the letter C...so let's get right down to it. is for ahhh...the simplicity of crayons! An essential tool in my profession, and yet such a vital part of our lives. Crayons have the ability to color our world. They add life to simple drawings, brighten up the darkest of pictures, and create rainbows on rainy days. After completing a writing assignment my students will often ask...."Do we have to draw a picture?" "Of course you do!! And use your crayons!" I will reply. And then the real feelings of their topic show through. Without color, how dull our lives would be. No yellow sunshiny days. No pink cotton candy. No blue skies and green grass.
